4 Seasons Fall 2007
Wine Selection Summary

Hints of white pepper, black cherry and spicy oak

2005 Burley Fox Limestone Coast Shiraz
Australia

Australia's chalky soils produce fantastic red wines like the 2005 Burley Fox Shiraz. This wine's elegant nose of white pepper, black cherry and spicy oak is a prelude to complex flavors of fresh berry fruit, vanillin and chocolate all ending in a rich, savory and smooth finish. It goes well with meals that involve grilling, hearty meats and stews.

Packed with cherry and almond flavors

2005 Villagiachi Chianti
Italy

Not heavy but packed with cherry and almond flavors that are spectacular with meat and pasta dishes. Perfect for upbeat occasions, this wine is the ideal choice with Italian foods.

Persistent notes of blackberry, black cherry & cassis

2005 Chateau Andrea Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon
California

Grown in the hot vineyards of Paso Robles, the grapes grew to full maturity and ripeness and were crushed into an inky black wine with persistent notes of blackberry, black cherry and cassis. Full-bodied on the palate with a powerful tannic structure and a well integrated touch of oak, the Chateau Andrea is the perfect compliment to lamb, steak and beef portions.

Aromas of vanilla, spice and oak

2006 Oakton Lane Monterey Chardonnay
California

This classic American Chardonnay reveals aromas of vanilla, spice and oak with a rich and full palate of tropical fruit flavors along with ripe pear notes. A perfect sipper or great companion to fresh lobster or grilled salmon.

Intense green apple flavors & a hint of fresh herbs

2006 Villa Masetti Pinot Grigio
Italy

A good choice for meals with chicken, pasta or salmon, this Pinot Grigio exhibits a distinctive nose of melon and walnuts. Intense green apple flavors and a hint of fresh herbs is perfectly balanced with brilliant acidity to create a truly memorable experience that has recently won medals at London’s International Wine Challenge and the Challenge International du Vin in France.

Scents of fresh cut grass, lemon and gun-flint

2005 Héritage du Château Touraine – Sauvignon Blanc
France

Aromatic with scents of fresh cut grass, lemon and gun-flint from the Loire’s chalky soils, this medium-bodied wine is packed with juicy citrus fruit and a crisp, clean finish. An ideal sipping wine that goes well with hours 'd' ourves, fruit or crackers and cheese.

Being unable to find many reviews about the wines 4 Seasons handpicked for their Fall 2007 selection prior to ordering, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and value of this unique assortment of wines. Each wine served as a nice compliment to the traditional meal it was associated with.

The Vintner’s Reserve Tabletop Opener was a nice bonus and the customer service was excellent.
